An example of this is the new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.orliman.com\/en\/product\/jewett-hyperextension-brace-with-three-dimensional-sternal-adjustment-short\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sternotech<\/a>, the latest concept in <strong>Jewett<\/strong> hyperextension <strong>braces<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jewett<\/strong> hyperextension <strong>braces<\/strong> help to keep the back straight in cases of injury, illness or surgery when <strong>treatment<\/strong> requires the unloading of pressure on the spine, prevention of pain, limiting of mobility and correction of inappropriate postures:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Compression fractures.<\/li>\n<li>Vertebral pain due to secondary metastasis.<\/li>\n<li>Spondyloarthritis (associated or unassociated with arthroscopic sclerosis).<\/li>\n<li>Chronic lumbalgia, lumbosciatica and dorsalgia.<\/li>\n<li>Medium-term immobilisation after intervertebral disc surgery.<\/li>\n<li>Stable vertebral fractures of the lower dorsal spine and lumbar spine.<\/li>\n<li>After unstable vertebral body fracture surgery.<\/li>\n<li>Vertebral body tumour and metastasis surgery.<\/li>\n<li>Decompression spinal surgery (with or without internal fixation).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A <strong>Jewett brace<\/strong> is a rigid limited-contact orthosis that acts on the body by means of a system that features three pressure points: chest, back and pelvis. A common problem with these kinds of <strong>orthosis<\/strong>, however, is that they are often rendered ineffective as the prescribed <strong>treatment<\/strong> because they are uncomfortable to wear, difficult to fit and excessively heavy.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the case with <strong>Orliman<\/strong>\u2019s new Sternotech model. Its new design features three-dimensional adjustment technology in the pectoral area, unique in the market, which provides a perfect fit and greater comfort, enabling the patient to better tolerate the <strong>treatment<\/strong>. To achieve this, it functions by being able to move on three axes thanks to its system of pectoral hinges.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the articulating pelvic support enables the patient to be seated without difficulty and can be fixed at a specific angle. For its part, the dorsolumbar support can be placed horizontally or vertically for greater patient comfort.<\/p>\n<p>And finally, the closure system of this new <strong>brace<\/strong> is extremely secure. It features a concealed catch that enables it to be released and prevents accidental opening due to friction or being knocked. It is simple and easy to use.<\/p>\n<p>All of this ensures effective hyperextension of the spine, by means of a three-point support system; unloading of the vertebrae in the lower thoracic and upper lumbar areas; stabilisation and restriction of movement of the spine and pain relief.<\/p>\n<p>And as for patient comfort, <strong>Orliman<\/strong>\u2019s new <strong>Jewett<\/strong> hyperextension <strong>brace<\/strong> is made from thermoformed foam fabric.
